Objective: Students will be able to analyze the events in the falling action of "Macbeth" in order to determine the purpose of each event.

Do-Now: Write your own definition for the word “traitor.”  Which characters in “Macbeth” have shown themselves to be traitors?  How are each of these characters traitors?

Exit Slip: What do you believe is the purpose of the scene with Lady Macduff and her son?  Describe the "test" Malcolm uses on Macduff to ensure Macduff is loyal.  How does Macduff react when he learns his family has been killed?  What does he vow to do?
