Objective: Students will be able to evaluate Macbeth's asides in order to explain what they reveal about Macbeth's character.  Students will be able to evaluate Lady Macbeth’s soliloquy in order to make inferences about her feelings toward Macbeth and make predictions about what she may do to drive the plot forward.

Do-Now: Double-Sided Exit Slip from Monday, December 16

Today: 1) Go over Exit Slip

2) Review soliloquy and aside

3) Class will finish Act 1, Scene 3

4) In groups, read Act 1, Scenes 4-6

5) Class will watch Act 1, Scenes 1-6 of "Macbeth."

Exit Slip: Why does Lady Macbeth believe her husband is not capable of killing Duncan on his own?  What do her feelings towards her husband show us about her character?  What do you predict Lady Macbeth may do to drive the action in the play forward?
