Objective: SWBAT complete a test on "Fences. SWBAT complete an extra credit assignment for "Fences."
Do-Now: You have TEN minutes to review for your test.
Today: 1) "Fences" Test
2) Extra-Credit: Worth 20 points = Write a scene in which Troy and Jackie Robinson meet. The scene should be set around 1957 when the play "Fences" begins. At this point, Jackie Robison has been playing baseball professionally for several years and many other African-American players have joined the major leagues. Imagine what the two men might discuss with one another about their careers in baseball and their struggles with racism. Your scene should be a minimum of two pages long (one page front and back) and should be written in play format. You will receive 10 points for length, 5 points for accuracy, and 5 points for creativity/originality. This assignment is due by Friday (NO EXCEPTIONS!)
